Blog Solution Verses RSS To Blog
By Bud Wiser

We knew this would happen, it was inevitable. If the amount of emails I get asking me which is better, Blog Solution or RSS To Blog is any sort of indication of what is going on, then many more of you are wondering this too! So here it is, Army of Blogs DEATH MATCH between the two popular programs that have been getting a lot of buzz here and on various forums. Here is a in depth comparison of these two programs by yours truly Bud Wiser, King Of Spam!

If you ask the Blog Solution Team which program is better, BS or RSS2B, they will tell you there is no competition, BS wins hands down. If you ask Michelle which is better, she will tell you that RSS2B is still the best solution. Many of you have asked me which is better, I have answered some of you, and now I will post my answer for all to read.

THE CORE INGREDIENTS

BLOG SOLUTION
BS is a program that attempts to solve all the blogging issues in one packaged solution. Their solution is a program designed from the ground up to be completely different from any other program. BS uses it’s own custom blog system. It does not post to blogger blogs, or wordpress blogs, or any other blog system. It uses it’s own system. In addition to creating 1000’s of blogs on the fly in mere minutes it also auto posts to them and pings them.

RSS TO BLOG
RSS2B has long been the choice of many professional bloggers. It is also designed from the ground up to be completely different then any other program, but over the years has been copied but IMHO never beaten. It does not create any blogs, it is a auto poster. It can post to blogger blogs, wordpress, typepad, movable type, livejournal, and msn spaces.

FEATURES

BLOG SOLUTION
With BS you can Manage Blogs, Add Blogs, Add Posts, Add Links, Update & Ping, and Cloak. The process is very simple, you create blogs by supplying a list of keywords which the blogs will be optimized for. Depending on how many KW’s you have, that will be the number of blogs you get. 100 kw’s equals 100 blogs, 5000 kw’s equals 5000 blogs. It can create 5000 blogs in a matter of minutes.

Depending on how you have installed BS, it can either create blogs on their own subdomains utilizing a wildcard subdomain server configuration, with out that, blogs will be created in separate subfolders.

Blogs are managed by listing all your blogs, where you can add posts, delete posts, modify blogs, add or change rssfeeds in xml format, change or modify templates, or add keywords. In addition to this you can add posts and links to all blogs or certain percentage of blogs Blogs can be updated manually too.

Limitations
BS is limited right now to only entering text based posts and xml formated rssfeeds. It can not enter text based custom feeds as it can not recognize a break code in between posts like rss2b’s #BREAK# code. Also there are only 2 ways or boxes you can enter posts, by rssfeeds and text box. You can not post comments to your blogs, or trackback. You also can not easily create blog clusters, and there is a 100 domain/install limit.

RSS TO BLOG
RSS2B concentrates on auto posting, and leaves the blog creation up to you or blogger generators. RSS2B offers a lot of flexibility as what and how you can post to your blogs. As mentioned you can post to blogger, wordpress, typepad, movable type, livejournal, and msn spaces. You can manage as many blogs on as many domains as you want to from one install, or you can install on as many domains as you want. I suggest if you run a lot of blogs to spread it out on a at least a few installs so not to put to much of a strain on any one server. You can add blog accounts, copy blogs, and delete blogs.

The heart of the program is how you can configure each blog’s posting habits, here you will get to do almost any thing.

RSS FEEDS

You can add pre made newsfeeds, and search feeds from Google, Yahoo and MSN. You can select to have NO outgoing links from these feeds. This is done by simply selecting or unselcting links. In BS you must modify the template to do this.

You can add any type of xml rssfeed you want too. Or you can add custom made feeds either in xml format or text format. In the case of text format, rss2b will email you when the text has reached the end for you to rest or add a new custom text feed. RSS2B can accept xml format or text format feeds.

For xml format feeds you can select bold title, no links, italic title, google, yahoo, msn, any number of results, and from up to 7 days of results.

TEXT POSTS

There are a total of 5 post boxes. 3 for xml format rssfeeds, and 2 text post boxes. The main text box can be shared for text based rss feeds and any other kind of text article. RSS2B utilizes the break code #BREAK# to separate each text post or feed as a separate post. The main text box which is used for your core text posts can be used to mix feeds, articles, and your own posts which can be sent randomly or in sequential. The second text box is for inserting any text with each post, either in the beginning, middle, end, or randomized part of the post. this can be used for B&P, affiliate ads, to redirect traffic, or any thing you like. After all the posts have been made rss2b emails you to let you know so you can either reset the cycle or replace the content.

In addition to the individual posting values, you can also select how to post, in other words mix it up as much as you want by selecting which feeds and or text. You can also add nofollow to your xml feeds, save as drafts, links in new windows, insert keywords in each post in beginning, middle, end or randomized, and randomize the sends of each run by time or date in hours or days, send ping with each post, and finally the number of posts you want to make for each run.

Limitations
RSS2B has 2 limitations. It does not create blogs, but in all fairness it was never created for that, and the main limitation is your imagination.

TWO DIFFERENT ANIMALS!

I think you can see that these two programs are very different, and the only thing they have in common is the word blog! Each uses two different strategies. Each is major strengths, and limitations. Both cost about the same. Both are EXCELLENT programs! So which is better? It depends entirely on what you are planning to do. If your going after adsense, then Blog Solution would definitely be a better choice for you! If you want more creative and flexibility with each blog, then RSS2B is a better choice for you! If you don’t want to think too much or work very much then Blog Solution is for you! If you want attack different kinds of projects and want to take advantage of more blog systems, then rss2b is for you! If you want it all, then you need both

AND THE WINNER IS….

Blog Solution is definitely hands down the best new program to ever hit the web since RSS2B! But I don’t think it will bury rss2b, nor do I think rss2b will bury blog solution. What I see here are 2 very different approaches to blogging. I think the more experienced bloggers who already have rss2b will buy blog solution, but will also keep on using rss2b too! Each for different strategies! I think most newbies will buy blog solution first hoping to make some serious cash fast. many will, many won’t. As great as BS is, no tool will over come lack of talent and skills, and ultimately it will be YOU who determines how well you do.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I love BS and RSS2B. I use each for different strategies. But I also use Voodoo Blogger, and a other tools too. In fact I am a fan of any tool that automates my work. If you think BS or any tool will be your salvation, think again. No offense, but if you sucked at making money off the web before BS, you will probably still suck after it too. But if you were good at it before BS, you will be even better at it! Same is true with rss2b.

At first I worried about putting this much power in to the hands of newbies. Make no mistake about it, BS is powerful. It’s like giving boy scouts a UZI! At first I worried that everyone and their mother would buy BS and the web would be saturated with BS blogs. That may still happen, but I’m not worried about it. A true marketer will always be able to make more money. I think Darwin’s theory of evolution and survival of the fittest applies here too. I’m not worried about all the new competition. I am concerned for newbies however. The ones with little or no experience in blogging. BS is so easy to use, I wonder how much planning and thought they will give their projects. I tempting to recommend rss2b to all newbies because it will force their hands to learn blogging.

I can’t say one is better then the other. I like each for different reasons. May be my comparison will help you decide which is better for you, may be it will only make it harder for you to decide. I honestly believe you need both and then some to really make a go at it. Like any business, you need all the resources you can find! Like any successful business, you can not put all your eggs in one basket. But I do understand that newbies have to start some where, and need help in deciding where to begin. I honestly don’t know which to recommend over the other, I am pretty confident most of you will end up with both sooner or later!

    Hi,
thanks for the review. I’m a newbie to using blog generators

Question: it seems you need to have a Dedicated server or VPS to use BS, correct? Creating 5000 blogs can consume server resources.

    Thanks

    Hey dude,

I’m real close to buying BS, but before I do, I’d really like your thoughts on SEOBlogBuilder

It has some really cool features including remote pinging (ability to assign different IP addresses to ping from!) as well as some cool content features, including datafeeds, etc. and the ability to have multiple backlinks within paragraphs.

If you can do a review of SEOBlogBuilder asap I would REALLY appreciate that! ;-)

    Cheers,
    Zahid

You don’t need a dedicated server, but spreading them out more on vps and shared is a good idea, as they can depending on amount and usage consume resources.

    Hi Zahid,

I am not familiar with SEOBlogBuilder. I have requested to review the program months ago and never got a reply. Your comment reminded me it was time to sent them one more email, we shall see if they respond. If they do you can be assured I will review it!

From what I can see is it is on the line of RSS2B accept it can only post to wordpress or blogger. It seems interesting enough for me to want to review it.

I do know a couple of SBB users who have purchased Blog Submitter. But this should not be taken to mean any thing definite as this is very common for more experienced users to want to use or try different strategies.

Hopefully I will have some thing more to report on SBB soon.

    Hey dude,

    Thanks for replying.

I’m gonna purchase Blog Solution first thing tomorrow. Apart from the BS forum and your blog, is there anywhere else where I can read up on best practices for getting new web sites indexed and getting traffic from the SEs using BS, as that is my main focus?

    Cheers,
    Zahid

Unfortunately there are no other forums where you can learn how to use BS because it is so new, and most of the BS users are also new too, but Omar is very helpful for BS related issues on the forum.

Aside from that, sadly there are not any good sources for blogging the way we do, which was why I created Army of Blogs! Even the ebooks are of verry little value, even the ones that promise you will make big bucks! You don’t need any of them!

For BS I suggest you simply build, build, build! Thats about it!
Make sure you use the wildcard subdomain setup,
and don’t put too many BS domians on the same hosting account, spread them out pretty good so they do not consume too much resources. When was the last time you ever managed hundreds or thousands of blogs on the same server :)

Start off slow until you get the hang of it! Then let it rip!

If you already use bloggers for indexing thats good, if not don’t worry about it, BS’s pinging will get your blogs indexed in a few days.

Feel free to drop questions here!

    Good luck!

    Hey Bud!

You’re definitely one of the most generous blackhat’s I know! I appreciate all the advice you’ve given.

I’ll see you on the forum! ;-)

    Cheers,
    Zahid
